The Celtic Cross Communion Pyx is made by the artists of Cathedral Art. Measuring 1-9/16 inch diameter, 1/2 inch deep, it can hold 6-9 hosts. Made in polished gold plated cast, it's packed in a brown felt burse.
This communion pyx is especially for sick calls to carry the Eucharist, the sacrament of Holy Communion, or Viaticum, given by a parish priest or Eucharistic minister.
New pyxes can also be a rosary case, an excellent gift idea. (Obviously, once a communion pyx is used as a pyx, it cannot be used for anything else but is regarded as a sacred vessel.) |
